Hormonal therapy plays a primordial role in equine reproduction. In the mare, hormones are used to prevent and treat some reproductive disorders. They are also used for disorders related to hormonal imbalances and to optimize breeding management (i.e., induction of estrus, ovulation, short cycle, etc.).
